Have the festive season nailed!

The spotlight's at your fingertips this festive season.

Nailtopia, a fun and funky young company setting new trends in nail art, is promising a winter wonderland full of fun, sparkle and glamour with their uber cute and trendy stickers.

From Santas to snowmen, Rudolfs to glittering Jack Frosts - you name it, Nailtopia's almost certainly got it.

And remember, this is professional-quality nail art that you can apply at home in seconds!

So let your fingers and toes do the talking this Yuletide and claw your way into an explosion of imaginative designs that are sure to get you noticed.

Quality made by the trend-setting Japanese, these easy-to-apply 3D latex stickers can be used on acrylic, on gel, or simply on the natural nail itself.

Nailtopia nail art also makes ideal stocking fillers for women who have secretly longed to say goodbye to dull nails, but just need that extra push.

For best, smudge-free results, simply apply the nail stickers before the base varnish is completely dry - just touch dry will do. Drying time will depend on the polish you use and the type of nail it's applied to (natural vs acrylic).

Use tweezers to remove stickers from the backing sheet and place on nail. Then pat down firmly and gently with an orange stick, leaving no area untouched.

Use a good quality, long lasting top coat - Nailtopia's Oh So Wet is ideal - to seal your nail art. This ensures that your funky nails last as long as your varnish. You'll only need one layer of top coat.

Remove with the usual nail polish remover - but only after having lots of fun as the most eye-catching Christmas cracker around.

Prices range from 99p to £7.64

Nailtopia - because life's too short for boring nails!

Mini-tox, max improvement available at Eternal Youth Clinic

They say less is more and that's definitely true when keeping the march of time at bay.

Anti-ageing expert Dr Paul Cronin has added the latest weapon in his growing armoury of subtle techniques that maintain the bloom of youth.

It's a treatment that helps iron out wrinkles, but keeps all the essential bits looking utterly natural. Working from his leading clinic, Eternal Youth in Cheshire, Mini-tox is the Alderley Edge doctor's latest procedure that tackles the age-old problem of youth preservation.

"The idea behind mini-tox is that it's available for patients who aren't showing many signs of ageing and want it to stay that way," explained Dr Cronin.

"Some of my best work goes unnoticed and unattributed. The ladies of Cheshire get away with looking their best without having to explain why, and for this I am perfectly happy."

Dr Cronin, a committee member of the British Association of Cosmetic Doctors, frequently treats well-known faces and says Mini-tox is ideal for actors.

"Actors, presenters, people frequently in the public eye, need to be able to show emotion and expression. Mini-tox enables just the right amount of movement, while keeping the lines and wrinkles at bay.'

Rather than seeking treatment when lines have started to appear, Dr Cronin emphasises that with Mini-tox, the earlier the better.

"It is easier to be subtle when you start earlier, and thus there is no need for a startlingly obvious transformation later in life," he explains.

"Like Botox, Mini-Tox certainly does have a preventative action for facial lines, and this happens most effectively when started fairly early and done with reasonable regularity, preventing further progression of the lines. Yet it won't freeze expression."

Dr Cronin also suggests volume loss is best replaced before it has become too obvious, adding: "Lips are best tweaked gently over the years to maintain their look rather than wait for them to get too thin."

Working to the maxim of 'Less is more,' the next step is normally to find a doctor who understands these principles and has a good aesthetic 'eye' - someone who will only suggest whatever gently enhances your appearance. As mutual trust is built between doctor and patient and the outside world puzzles at why some people never seem to age, the answer remains subtly hidden. It becomes 'Our secret'.

Soap stars Corrie on visiting Yorkshire's hair maestro

Word travels hair-raisingly fast on Britain's most famous street - that's Coronation, not Downing!

Another star has left the cobbles for some first rate treatment with Yorkshire's premier hair extensions specialist Jayne Jackson.

Helen Flanagan, who plays Street vixen Rosie Webster, made a special trip to Jayne's Studio in Graizelound, Doncaster, to have her tresses tended by the popular hair specialist.

Helen decided to make the 150-mile round trip from Manchester after being wowed by Jayne's work on fellow Corrie star Michelle Keegan who visited Jayne in June.

And news about Jayne's skills has been spreading so quickly on the Street that a raft of other celebrities are believed to be lining up to have their manes perfected by the super stylist.

'Most of my clients have come to me through word of mouth,' said Jayne.

'So it's good to know that some of soapland's well-known faces are also recommending me.'

Jayne had the job of ensuring there would be no glitch in film continuity that would be obvious to viewers, so Helen's extensions were added for thickness to create extra glam factor rather than to add length.

'A lot of people are not perhaps aware that extensions don't necessarily mean you have to go for longer locks,' explained Jayne, 'Extensions can be added to hair for thickness which is what I've done with Helen. Now her hair has that extra oomph-factor which she absolutely loves.'

Eternally Beautiful!

Coronation Street starlet Michelle Keegan ensured she was red-carpet ready for the BAFTAS by visiting leading Cheshire rejuvenation clinic Eternal Youth.

Michelle, who plays Tina McIntyre in the ITV drama, saw top cosmetic doc Paul Cronin who treated the TV beauty to an Omnilux Light therapy.

Omnilux is a relaxing, calming treatment designed to stimulate the skin and give a glowing complexion.

Michelle, who last month was crowned sexiest female for the second year running at the British Soap Awards, also celebrated her 23rd birthday when she popped into the clinic in London Road, Alderley Edge.

She went on to join fellow cast members at Sunday's ceremony in London where Corrie was nominated in the Continuing Drama category but missed out to rival soap EastEnders.

Dr Cronin said: "Michelle is a beautiful girl and has beautiful skin; a treatment like Omnilux helps maintain and rejuvenate skin and can be very relaxing."

Showbiz best pals facing tighter brighter skin after a visit to Eternal Youth Clinic.

Two of the nation's favourite stars have treated themselves to an age-busting session at the Eternal Youth Clinic, Cheshire's leading rejuvenation centre.

Former EastEnders stars Hannah Waterman and Letitia Dean saw top anti-ageing expert Dr Paul Cronin for a skin tightening treatment that's being hailed as the future in anti-ageing.

Called Thermage, it uses radio frequency to heat underlying tissue that results in smoother, tighter, lifted skin.

Dubbed the non-surgical secret facelift, it takes from four to six months for the non-invasive procedure to take effect, but results can last up to four years.

So by the time summer's here, look out for a decidedly rejuvenated Ms Waterman and Ms Dean strutting their stuff at this year's hot-spots.

Dr Cronin treated the pair to Thermage while they were in Manchester performing in Calendar Girls at the Lowry Theatre.

"With Thermage the results speak for themselves," he said. "There is no scarring, no stitching, no general anaesthetic, just smoother, tighter, lifted skin. Best of all, it does this slowly over a period of 4 to 6 months, so, as Ms Waterman and Ms Dean carry on their normal activities they will see gradual and natural improvement over the next coming months."

Dorothy hopeful locks good thanks to Jayne Jackson

Hair wizard Jayne Jackson is over-the-moon that Dorothy hopeful Amy Diamond has sailed through to the final 10 in Andrew Lloyd Webber's latest musical, Over The Rainbow.

Amy, who is a strong contender for the BBC's talent search show, is a regular client of stylist-to-the-stars Jayne. She's even zipped across the Atlantic to get her tresses tended to at The Studio where Jayne weaves her magic.

The pair have become firm friends since Jayne started taking care of Amy's locks two years ago.

Extensions-specialist Jayne now expects Amy to go all the way and bag the leading role in West End maestro Lloyd Webber's new production of the Wizard of Oz.

Twenty-two-year-old Amy, who is also a glamour model, once jetted back early from Chicago to Jayne's Studio in Graizelound so she could have her extensions done in time for a televised Dancing on Ice special starring her boyfriend, Hollyoaks hunk Chris Fountain.

Amy was driven straight up to Doncaster from Heathrow, had her extensions done by Jayne, and was then rushed back down to London in time for the Christmas special.

Said Jayne: "I'm truly delighted for Amy. She's a star in the making and would be a perfect Dorothy Gale!'

"She's used to travelling the globe, so I'm sure a trip up the Yellow Brick Road would be a breeze!"

Thermage Eyes

The future's looking tight through Thermage Eyes.

Tired of gazing into the same old eyes - your own - but don't fancy going under the knife for time-consuming eyelid surgery?

There's an eye-popping alternative out there that's achieving amazing results without so much as the flash of a surgeon's scalpel.

Radio-frequency, a revolutionary breakthrough in skin firming and rejuvenation, gives those brighter, wider, more alert eyes. And it does so by heating the deepest layers of skin without a knife or needle in sight.

The technique, know as Thermage Eyes, is being perfected by Dr Paul Cronin at his Eternal Youth Clinic in Alderley Edge, and works on a set of fundamental principles:

By heating the deepest layers of skin, Thermage stimulates new collagen production while helping to tighten existing collagen. Over time, sagging or wrinkled skin becomes smoother and firmer; improving in tone and texture giving patients an overall younger looking appearance.

Unlike traditional eyelid surgery – known as blepharoplasty - Thermage Eyes requires no skin incision and therefore no stitches as the treatment is carried out through a small probe which delivers the all-important heat to underlying skin.

The device is placed on the eye area which then sets to work by stimulating a healing process resulting in tighter skin.

Treatment takes no longer than an hour, but the effects can last up to four years. Encouragingly, all the improvement is gradual and natural over the following months, so nothing comes as a shock to the system - yours or anyone else's. No scarring, no stitching, no general anaesthetic, just smoother, tighter, lifted eyelids.

"Thermage has anti-gravitational effects, lifting the jowls, raising cheekbones and lifting eyebrows with the subtlety of a master surgeon," says Dr Cronin. "Best of all, it does this slowly over a period of 4 to 6 months, so, as you continue your normal activities and meet all your friends, you are slowly and subtly being transformed before their very eyes. They may not know why you look better, but they'll certainly know you do."

Jayne Jackson's 2010 hair predictions live on US TV!

HAIR expert Jayne Jackson has been back on US TV to give Americans advice for 2010.

Extensions maestro Jayne, who runs The Studio in Graizelound, made such an impact during her first US TV appearance last year, she was invited back.

Across the pond they now hang on her every word as she predicts the hottest styles for this year, and showcases her work.

The stylist-to-the-stars was guest of honour on breakfast chat show Studio 10 - a US version of This Morning - broadcast from Tampa, Florida. The show is a firm favourite with many of Hollywood's most famous names, including actor Jeff Bridges and legendary supermodel Cindy Crawford.

Jayne, who is is fast becoming a recognised face in the States, said: "People stopped me in the street and said 'hey you're Jayne Jackson off the TV;' it's very strange, but lovely."

Americans took Jayne to their hearts when she made headlines stateside last year with her credit-crunch busting Tupper-Hair brainwave - where women exchange redundant hair styling gear at home parties.

Now back on British soil, Jayne is working on a new project in the UK which is set to revolutionise hair care and educate women to new possibilities.

"I want to take hair care and the way women think about their hair to the next level," she added.

To see Jayne in action, click here then click on 'Get the hottest look for 2010'.

The eyes have it...the guys have it.

Men who wear eyeliner but are too idle to apply it every day can now opt for a longer lasting solution - Permanent Guyliner.

Permanent Guyliner is the latest time-serving idea to hit the fast-growing male cosmetic surgery market.

Brainchild of permanent cosmetics expert and trainer Karen Betts, Permanent Guyliner uses micro-pigmentation - an advanced form of tattooing - that turns an 'average Joe into a handsome hunk,' says Karen.

'A tiny stroke of colour by the lashline makes a huge difference to the way a man looks, yet nobody need ever guess that he's had the treatment,' she adds.

Karen emphasises that the secret is in the subtlety of the changes, making the eye more captivating because lashes look thicker and the iris richer in colour.

'No-one would ever dream that eye make-up has been used.'

And, if as expected, Permanent Guyliner catches on - one 45 minute sitting can last for 3 years - it could add a whole new dimension to eyeing up the ladies.

Handbag Glamour

Want to look good for that all important Christmas night on the tiles but don't have much space in your handbag?

Hair mentor and extension specialist to the stars Jayne Jackson shows you how to be the mane attraction without weighing your handbag down.

Said Jayne: "It's amazing how many products in your make-up bag can double up as hair lifesavers. Light and easy to carry, you can look your best all evening when it comes to that special date in your diary".

So for party girls on the go, here are a few suggestions for beauty and hair pick-me-ups that are never more than a handbag away:

Eyeshadow - If you are just starting to get root re-growth but don't have time or money for a re-touch, can be a great quick fix for covering problem areas - even greys! Eye shadows come in a multitude of colours from blondes and golds to deepest browns and black. Just dab a tiny amount on the tell-tale areas and no one but you will know.

Mascara - Great for those who have black hair and the odd stubborn grey strand. Simply coat those pesky hairs with your wand; mascara also works well as a frizz tamer.

Lip Gloss - As most of us tighten our belts and hope to get an extra couple of weeks before our next hair cut, more split ends are inevitable. A smart trick to tame the fly away ends is to use lip gloss. Not only will it contain the broken tips, your locks will also look glossier and set like a fixing spray. Use sparingly.

Vaseline - Like lip gloss, it works a treat at defining unruly split ends as well as acting as an instant face brightener and eyebrow smoother. Use tiny amounts, otherwise hair will look limp and greasy.

Hand-cream - Use it to double up as an anti-frizz controller. Once you've applied to hands, simply run fingers through tresses to tame unruly hair. At the end of the evening, before your head hits the pillow, dab your ends with the cream and you'll wake with moisturised tresses that smell great too.

Here's the perfect solution to Miseltoe Mouths

Christmas is coming which means it'll soon be time to pucker up under the mistletoe.

To achieve that perfect mistletoe mouth and avoid embarrassing lipstick smears, why not invest in a longlasting lip colour that promises to be 100% smudgeproof and smearproof and kissproof!

Finally Hollywood's best kept secret, Lip Ink, is available in the UK. Used by celebs including Courtney Cox and Kirsty Alley, smudgeproof colour is here to stay.

Unlike lipsticks that need reapplying, Lip Ink is different. It's a lip system that enables you to build up your colour gradually, creating your own shades according to the layers and colours you apply. And once it's on, Lip Ink won't smear and is waterproof.

With over ONE MILLION colour combinations, the Lip Ink system means you can dabble in this season's must-have rich berry hues, perfect pinks, warm and earthy browns - or lighten your look with simplistic sheer nudes. And with thousands of seasonal rich reds available, there's no limit to looking lip smackingly gorgeous.

Lip Ink contains no parabens or glycols and is made from 40 natural botanical herbs, vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. It has not been tested on animals and is hypo allergenic.

Using Lip Ink couldn't be easier, just follow these simple step-by-step instructions:

Step 1

Apply the hydrating shine moisturiser and massage well in.

Step 2

Apply lip ink colour slowly and evenly, making sure each application is dry before you apply the next. Remember, the more layers you apply the deeper the colour. 3 layers is optimum.

Step 3

Apply the hydrating shine moisturiser on top for a super soft feel and shine. To remove, use the special gentle lotion Lip Off when you want to remove the colour.

Please note: Lip Ink is non drying due to the hydrating shine moisturiser.

We recommend when choosing a Lip Ink colour go for a shade lighter than you normally would.

Jayne Jackson gives Miss England hair advice

HAIR expert Jayne Jackson has been giving Miss England her top tips for luscious locks.

Stylist-to-the-stars Jayne met Miss World hopeful Katrina Hodge when she was invited to the Miss World Welcome party held at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London.

And Doncaster based Jayne, from Graizelound, wasted no time in advising Katrina on all things hair related.

Army beauty Katrina was drafted in to compete in the Miss World contest after Rachel Christie relinquished the Miss England title following her arrest over an alleged nightclub brawl.

L/Cpl Hodge, who has already served in Iraq, is tipped to do well in the competition which will be held in Johannesburg, South Africa next month.

Jayne, who tends to the tresses of many well-known faces, was guest of honour at the star-studded event following a special invite from Miss England 2009 sponsors Great Lengths.

Organisers made sure that Jayne was on the same table as Katrina so the pair could discuss hair.

Said Jayne: "It was a wonderful night and Katrina took my hair advice on board. Obviously when she's in combat, hair is the last thing on her mind, but I think I speak for everyone when I say we wish her the best of luck for the competition."

The Miss world party is the latest in a long line of glitzy events the stylist has attended.

Jayne who recently appeared on US telly with her Tupper-hair brainwave - where women exchange redundant styling gear - is soon set to go back across the pond and demonstrate her New Year's Eve hair tips on live TV.

"The language of great hair is universal," quipped Jayne.

Jayne Jackson makes her US TV-debut

HAIR expert Jayne Jackson's credit-crunch busting Tupper-Hair brainwave has taken the US by storm.

The extensions specialist from Graiselound, Doncaster has blitzed American TV, promoting her penny-pinching party idea. And the folks across the pond just love it, with the women of Florida throwing Tupper-Hair parties, just like their thrifty sisters back in Britain.

Jayne was invited to talk about her lively get-togethers - where women exchange redundant hair styling gear - on breakfast chat show Studio 10, a US version of This Morning broadcast from Tampa, Florida.

Camera crews from another US news station, Bay News 9, also wanted in on the story. They filmed stylist-to-the-stars Jayne throwing a Tupper hair party for the locals.

The footage was broadcast as a special assignment piece and set off a stampede among the women of Florida, and those living outside the sunshine state. In typical US get-up-and-go style, the women lost no time in launching their own cash-crafty sessions.

"The Americans loved the concept of Tupper-Hair," said Jayne.

"In fact they said it's always the English who come up with the best ideas, which I thought was very kind...and true!

"It's good to know that something that started in Doncaster has spread across the Atlantic and hopefully beyond. It proves women all over the world are not letting the economic downturn affect them when it comes to their looks."

Now firmly back on British soil, Jayne has a number of other high-profile hair related projects in the pipeline including a star-studded glitzy event in London next month. She's also working on her own hair styling range.

And after the success in America, it's anyone's guess where Doncaster's powerhouse will strike next.

The Dermaroller - A Weapon of MASS-RECONSTRUCTION, available at Eternal Youth Clinic

It may look like a left-over from the Spanish Inquisition, but the dermaroller is an instrument of sheer joy, turning dreams of smoother, brighter, healthier and younger-looking skin into reality.

Employing a technique known as micro-medical needling, it stimulates the skin into regenerating and repairing itself naturally.

In short, it's a weapon of mass re-construction, reducing wrinkles, improving skin texture and tone, plumping up tired areas and working wonders on stretch marks. The secret is in the thousands of tiny punctures that rejuvenate the skin.

It's been know for some time that microtrauma (minor injuries to the skin) actually stimulates a repairing process that results in younger healthier skin; the basics behind peels and laser resurfacing.

The dermaroller works on the same principle. Essentially it's a medical grade, sterilised plastic roller covered in hundreds of fine needles which penetrate the skin to a depth of 1.5mm. Some have compared the dermaroller to a meat tenderiser, and in many ways it operates under the same rules, refreshing old and tired flesh.

When rolled across the skin, the dermaroller makes thousands of tiny holes, but only to a depth that stimulates recovery and rejuvenation, ensuring that there's minimum discomfort and 'down time' to the patient.

An anaesthetic cream is first applied to the face and left on for about an hour. Next the cream is wiped off and the skin cleaned very thoroughly prior to using the roller. This minimises the sensation of the drum and allows the patient to feel completely relaxed while remaining wide awake throughout. The roller itself is a single-use sterile device which is rolled gently up and down the face in a variety of patterns until it produces a degree of redness that indicates the treatment is over. Some patients have described the sensation as similar to botox injections.

The minuscule holes close up within ten to fifteen minutes and the skin then begins to feel very warm and turns red. The redness and heat lasts between one and two days. There is no peeling or flaking of the skin which quickly feels fresher and tighter. There is a perceptible benefit even from the first treatment, but a course of three or four is recommended, roughly every six weeks. The skin continues to improve for several months after the final treatment.

For best results the dermaroller should be used in conjunction with Fraxel laser. Dr Paul Cronin has seen striking results on patients who have opted for combined treatments. Troublesome areas like the peri-oral lines (those unsightly wrinkles around the mouth), ageing necks and crepe under the eyes can be a thing of the past.

Dr Paul Cronin, who runs the Eternal Youth Clinic in Cheshire's Alderley Edge, said: "The dermaroller has been shown to be beneficial with any form of scarring. It deals with fine lines and wrinkles and it can improve pigmentation problems. In short, it does a reasonable amount of what laser resurfacing does, with the same amount of down time but at less cost."

It's a reasonable compromise for those patients who are looking for a cheaper option to the Fraxel laser. Combining both treatments, however, will achieve the best, long-lasting results.
